The COVID-19 pandemic has presented us all with a host of challenges and issues to face and address, and for micro businesses, SME’s and family firms those challenges and issues have been, sadly, at times proven to be insurmountable. For those firms that have withstood the storm we wonder what lessons have been learnt both from the sad cases of those who failed, as well as internally; and was the pandemic crisis used as an opportunity and catalyst for organisational transformational change?

Whatever the answers, it is important that all of us critically reflect and use such reflection as a catalyst for constructive change; as well as commit ourselves to Kaizen. As a wise, old and dear friend of ours often says, we don’t desire radical change, but small and incremental changes which have high impact, radical outcomes.
